Ryans Buffet Food Review

Went to Ryan's on Sat.4 July 2015 in Columbus Ga.service was terrible food was the same there. was only one meat on the buffet when we was leaving no one even thanked us for coming or told to have a good night. This should be one of the restraints that should be on the closed lists.

Food sucks. Looks like left overs. Salt n pepper shakers empty and nasty from other people using them. They never get cleaned. You still get charged for steaks even if you don't eat them. Chicken way over cooked n dried out.

Rya..n's Grill and buffet Chambersburg Pennsylvania went to eat here tonight and was greatly disappointed state know new with their new procedure on how you order steak I come to Ryans to eat steak now instead of going and getting it yourself and you can be eating a steak in 2 minutes you have to order it at the table in the waitress brings it to you which takes 20 to 25 minutes of course this is all done on purpose so you are filled up on the bar and don't eat no steak used to come to Ryans a lot this will probably be my last I feel that I'm probably one of many people that feel this way I can see the Ryans will probably now fail..so yes I see Ryan is being a thing of the past in the near future.

I had lunch at Ryans with my mother and experienced a very unfortunate atmosphere at the restaurant. My mom who is very disabled waited at the hot bar for 12 min and there was not one type of meat on the bar, she had to ask an employee where was the meat. Also when my mother grabbed her plate their was mushrooms all over not only that plate but the whole stack as well. My mother then asked an employee who the general mananger on duty was and what his name was and where he was located. They pointed him out and said that his name was Jason Jones, they rolled their eyes, he was on his cell phone sitting on the bench by the cash register alone. He then got up and walked to the back with his cell phone to his hear, meanwhile still no food; deserts, meat, soups, salads. Advertisements at Ryans states that "We make it right" Apparently not in Tupelo because we asked about 4 employees to help. What a shame because of what my disabled mother had to go through.

The bathrooms were nasty!! I wouldn't have sat down on anything! And the waitress cleared our table while we were getting more food...Won't be visiting againanytime soon!! Yuckk!

Filthy, workers without gloves handling food, bathrooms disgusting, flies on the buffet line, over charged and told nothing could be done because they didn't know how to "fix" it, not overly crowded but no available tables because they were not bussed. Horrible experience, will never return. They should be shut down due to filthy conditions

Filthy, dirty restrooms, is the kitchen as bad?

April 22, Cedar Rapids, Iowa - stopped at Ryans for lunch, and noticed that the salad bar had several new items, and the food on the hot bar was fresh and hot...great! The test was the restrooms, and there they failed!!! The ladies room has three stalls, and the first one was stopped up with paper and ***...doesn't staff ever check? There was paper overflowing the waste basket, and there must have been a dirty diaper in there, as the room smelled of it. There was food and other things (?) smeared on the walls and this was not fresh! The walls and floor in there must not ever get attention, as they were just filthy...the bathroom at the corner gas station is probably cleaned! Come on...if the bathrooms are this bad, what does that say for the rest of the business, especially the kitchen!!!! To me, it's just plain laziness of the part of the staff and management!

No it isn't laziness. Restaurants don't have a special person to clean the rest rooms.

The servers do it when there is time. Guess how the rest rooms get in the condition that you described. It is because a lot of customers have the mind set, well I don't have to clean it so I will just leave kind of a mess. Then there are the customers that let their little angels run all over the place, including the bathrooms.

Guess what those little angels are doing in there.

So, we read online that this buffet wasn't too bad. My family and i thought it was going to be like Golden Corale. Not exactly!!! the food was horrible. and we really hope that we don't get sick from it. the employees who were bringing out fresh food were just dumping it onto the old food that had been sitting there for who knows how long. In food service you should always transfer the old into a new buffet container and put the food that has been sitting there on top of the new. We saw the wrong method done for every transfer. There was chilled food (sour creme) along side hot foods which in turn made the sour creme warm and chunky. the salad bar looked horrific. All the veggies and dressings looked like they were mixed all together. Oh, and the bathrooms. Wow! the womans bathroom had toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor. And, i was informed that there was ice creme all over the mens. As well as food scattered all over the floor throughout the place. The health department needs tto inspect this place immediatly.!!!!

honey, I have to tell you that any business that handles any type of food gets routinely inspected by Health Inspectors and there isn't any warning as to when that inspection will take place. If a business doesn't make a certain score on the inspection they are given a deadline to improve conditions.

There isn't any way the condition of the floors, bathrooms, etc. can be controlled. Customers, just like you tend to be sloppy with the attitude that it isn't their home so who cares. Also parents don't make any attempt to control their brats.

If you don't like the way the new and old food was switched, why aren't you preparing your own food. Health Inspectors aren't going to say anything about the floors and bathrooms because there isn't really any way to control that until there is a lull in the business. I'm sure there has been times that the inspector has been in the restaurant when the old and new food was being switched and apparently hasn't criticized it. Did it occur to you that the veggies and dressings that you say looked like they were dumped together, that was probably done by customers.

If your family gets sick after eating at Ryan's you better be medically diagnosed before blaming the restaurant's food. Now how about you improve your spelling and punctuation.

We ate at Ryans in Clarksburg WV. It was the worst I have ever seen it. Plus lat time 2 people in front of us,after 10 minutes we walked out. We have,always eaten at Ryans due to variety. But half of sections coverd at 2:25 p.m. with no food. another lady and i ask for a breast if chicken. And NOTHING AGAINST FOREIGN PEOPLE. BUT HE KEPT SAYING CHICKEN. She said white meat he said chicken. Also no variety of food when i pay for buffet i expect a variety. Plus server brought our drinks and rolls and NEVER checked on us again. We are nit complainers. I worked in a restaurant. But everyone was looking around saying is this all. That hurts your business. Thank You for the worst experience as couldn't complain couldn't find anyone. Barbara J. IF you don't have anything against foreign people why did you bring it up? It was completely unnecessary.

If you are so perfect and smart about restaurants you would know this isn't the web site for Ryans.

You are on a general complaint site. It shouldn't really be any concern of yours if their business gets hurt, you are concerned because it is hurting you.

Went to Ryans in Tupelo, Ms. My husband ordered a steak from the waitress, we sat there for an hour and he never recieved his steak. We asked the waitress to check on it and she acted like it was a burden. I drank a glass of tea and when i looked in the glass there was a bug in the ice. I told the waitress and she never apologized for anything. The buffet was filthy, food was every where. Most of the food trays were empty. There was nobody working at the dessert table. Very awful service. I am so disappointed. My family and I used to go there at least 3 times a week, but after that I have decided to eat elsewhere. Oh and by the way the night we were there the floor was soaking wet and a woman fell, she asked the manager why they didnt have wet floor signs and he said that corporate wont let them use them...seriously...thus pace has gone down hill...

Hello, We go to ryans on Bardstown road, every Saturday. We love the waitresses and the cashiers, but the ice cream machine has been broke for a week. I am Glutin free and can't have cake, so I look forward to the ice cream. Lately, when we come into Ryans for dinner the pans where food should be is gone, the only time we see a lot of food is when we occasionally come at lunch time. We meet our friends every Saturday night, please can you all work on these things. We might have to start eating somewhere else. Also, your bathrooms are dirty. I'm disappointed and frustrated.

While the food was good, it was one of the uncleanliest restaurants I have been too. I don't know why there is carpet on the floor, that seems to be the most disgusting place to have carpet in a restaurant. I seen food ground into the carpet as I entered, and it was still there when I left. I'd hate to see how the kitchen and back rooms look. Some of the dishes were not labeled so I didn't know what it was, so I didn't get it. Staff did not appear happy either, and it was noticeable in a few employees. I doubt that I will go there again.

What are you, in kindergarten? Food that is ground into the carpeting can't be removed without shampooing.

Do you think they should be shampooing the carpeting while they are open for business. Also most of the time the shampooing is done on a regular schedule.

Guess what, the food that was ground up in the carpeting got there by customers just like you. Also most restaurants have carpeting on their floors, even the dining area in fast food places.
